Post Conviction Release 2

In this 2nd video, Jerry Watson finishes his discussion on post conviction release for federal inmates.

The plan is a good one.  It will allow for monitoring of convicted felons as they enter the community.  The cool part;  taxpayers will not be responsible,  Surety bail bond agents will, just as in the case of pretrial release, take responsibility for the convicts.  The process would be so similar to the pretrial model that it would virtually ensure against rampant pillaging of the streets.

You must understand this;  the government is already preparing to release tens of thousands of inmates.  All we are saying is this; in the interest of public safety, taxes and did I mention public safety, let the insurance companies take responsibility for the monitoring of the releasee.  We are definitely not saying that they will not offend, nor are we saying that we will be responsible for their actions; The government is already releasing them (that is on them), what we are saying is that we have a large force of agents that will:

1. Keep an eye on them,

2. Mandate responsibility and accountability,

3. Pick them up and return them to custody if they violate, and

4. Pay the state if they skip out.

What a deal, families are fed, the streets are safe, and the taxpayer is not burdened (provided the state keeps it simple)
